There are two types of individuals in the world: those who adore dogs and those who adore cats. And they rarely agree on which of the two makes for the cutest buddy. However, because of the Internet’s power, we may have been gifted with a video that will cause both sides to shake hands and say “aww.”
A litter of kittens in the company of a dog is featured in a video broadcast on ViralHog’s YouTube channel. The kittens in the video appear to be fascinated by the dog who is lying in the room and approach him cautiously. The dog climbs off his cushion after a few seconds, overwhelmed by all the attention, leaving the kittens scurrying.
“This is my male rescue dog, Nugget (age 10) with our foster kittens from the SPCA I work at,” the dog parent writes in the caption, describing the footage. They were feral when I got them, so at the time of this movie, we were working on socializing them so they could be adopted.”
Nugget looked to be the best candidate for socialization, according to the dog parent from New York, because he was “pretty quiet and non-reactive.”
In the comments portion of the video, viewers flocked to offer their affection for the animals.
One person even imagined the kittens and the dog having a discussion. “Dog: ‘Who are these strange people?’ remarked user Jannat Bint in a comment. ‘We came in peace,’ said the kittens. This is adorable.”
Another viewer compared the footage to a scene from the Jurassic Park movie. “It’s almost like that scene in Jurassic Park where all the small dinosaurs are encircling one guy.”
