King is a 12-year-old dog who has lived on the streets for most of his life.
King had to have one of his front legs amputated after being hit by a car. While he was getting the surgery he required, the rescue group Marley’s Mutts stepped in to help the senior canine find a forever home.
The rescuers were well aware that it would not be an easy operation. King was not just a senior dog, but he was also a dog who had lost one of his legs.

Months passed with no one interested in taking on the older dog.
However, when Rocky Kanaka, the Dog’s Day Out TV host, learned about King’s tragedy, he decided to help.
The premise of Rocky’s program is that shelter dogs are taken out for the day and lavished with attention and presents. Rocky enjoys treating these dogs as the unique canines that they are, and his admirers are motivated by what he does.
The dogs that Rocky showcases in his performances are exposed to a large audience, which often results in them being adopted.

Rocky felt that a massive shopping spree was for King’s big day out.
King was being treated like royalty, with everything he touched becoming his. King, unsurprisingly, had a great time. The first item he chose was a large bag of dog chow.
Rocky then took King to the toy aisle, and things got extremely hot from there. While excitedly wagging his tail, the senior dog selected a Nerf gun, a toy rope, a dinosaur, a rawhide bone, and a huge ball. King even chose a cat tree, and while Rocky was perplexed by his selection, he stuck to his pledge.

And the good news is that someone approached the show about adopting King after the public saw King’s buying binge. While King had a tough past, things were about to change for him, and he would be spending his golden years surrounded by love.
Rocky surprised King with a second shopping spree to celebrate the wonderful news!
