On a hot summer day, nothing beats a refreshing plunge in the pool. Especially if you’re carrying an extra pound or two of fur on your back. Of course, I’m referring to our canine buddies. Dogs typically appreciate a refreshing swim as much as, if not more than, their owners.

One ingenious pool-loving Golden Retriever from Iowa understands how to unwind. She discovered that floating around a pool with her entire body wrapped across four pool noodles is the greatest way to stay cool. Her technique has recently gone viral.
In the Facebook group “Golden Retrievers In Iowa,” Brian Mumm shared a video of his diva, Clara, his dog. He just titled it, “a dog’s life.”
Clara’s calmness inspired others. The original post has received over 17,000 likes and 473,000 shares. This slice of Clara’s life changed the lives of tens of thousands of people.

A pool noodle can be used in a variety of ways. Some people want to ride it like a horse. Others prefer to float with their arms under their arms. And because this puppy becomes large, simply four noodles will suffice.
The four noodles under Clara’s front and rear legs are a creative approach to keep her head above water, given that dogs are quadrupedal (meaning they move on all fours instead of two legs). Plus, look at how at ease she appears to be!
