Ian, a young child, and Callie, an exquisite dog, are great friends. They grew up next to one other and are roughly the same age. Their unusual link began at the age of three months for both of them.
Callie’s first family abandoned her when she was barely a puppy. She was left alone, bound to a fence. She cried out for help till a compassionate stranger came to her aid. He adopted the little puppy and introduced her to Ian, who was only three months old at the time. Callie and Ian struck it off immediately away, as evidenced by their family’s lovely video!
Callie’s new family was never told the truth about her history, although it was evident that she had been mistreated. Callie didn’t even know how to lie down when they first brought her into their home. She appeared to be sleeping a lot, but she was too afraid and nervous to sleep well. That was, however, before she met Ian.
Callie’s new parents placed her next to Ian, the newborn. Ian was fast asleep on a lovely dinosaur blanket, so his parents decided Callie could join him for a nap. To observe what might happen, they began recording Callie and Ian’s first interactions.
Callie refuses to take a calm snooze at the start of the video. She sits up straight and tries her hardest to stay awake. Her eyes progressively shut, but she always wakes herself up before she can fall asleep completely.
Finally, Callie takes a risk. She shifts her weight to the other side of the blanket, getting closer to Ian. She progressively scoots closer to the sleeping baby till she decides to get some much-needed rest. She then curls up next to him and places her head on top of his.
She seemed to be at ease for the first time since moving into her new home. The young baby and the small dog are meant to be great friends. Their parents are overjoyed that they were able to capture such a touching event on film.
There is no attachment quite like that between a child and their dog. They’re quite fortunate to have each other, and hopefully, they’ll always be such wonderful friends.
