Maisy, a Pit Bull Terrier mix, can be heard wailing “Woo-woo-woo-woo” That’s exactly what Maisy, a Pit Bull, had to tell her mother all day. Her mother is overjoyed to hear her adorable puppy talk to her because the two have a lot of conversations! Maisy’s mother comments that she is a very vocal doggy when she is overjoyed. Maisy and Marisa Elbert’s mother didn’t always have it easy.
Maisy spent three years outside in a cage because her previous family had neglected her, only bringing her out to try to breed her, and then planning to euthanize her if she couldn’t conceive. They thought she was unattractive and that feeding her was a waste of money. After hearing Maisy’s story, a family friend came to her aid.
Elbert was tagged on social media by a friend to look at Maisy after she had suffered three losses in a short period of time. Elbert was enthralled, and she knew she needed to get Maisy home right away.
In a short period, she lost her 13-year-old Pit Bull, her father, and then her mother. Both Maisy and her mother believe in living in the now, and Maisy is exactly what Elbert required in her life.
